Five Steps To Becoming A Fitness Trainer

Are you a fitness enthusiast? Do your personal goals include helping other people achieve a healthy life style? If your answers to both questions are yes, you should think about becoming a fitness trainer. Aside from allowing you to pursue your passion, it is also a job that pays well. Moreover, the perks of this type of work may include flexible hours and the opportunity to inspire other people.

Here are some steps you can follow to get into your dream career:

Make up your mind. Turning your passion into a career starts with a decision that should be reinforced with a strong personal drive. Prepare yourself to do whatever it takes to become good at what you do. This is very important because you should be able to walk the talk.

Assess yourself. List down your personal qualities and skills. Compare them against the traits and abilities expected from a good trainer. Let a trusted friend help you on this if you doubt your personal assessment.

Study and get certified. Teaching people about fitness is not all about passion. It also requires technical strategies that ensure the well-being of fitness trainees. Learn these strategies from accredited organizations. Choose one that issues certificates of completion. You will need these certificates when you apply for trainer position in any club or gym. Also, people trust certified trainers over non-certified trainers.

Find a specialty. If possible, get a specialty certificate. A specialty certificate will make you more marketable. It will also give you the license to charge a little higher because you have more services to offer. For example, you can choose to be a fitness trainer for athletes or chronically ill people.

Keep improving your skills. Being certified and employed at the moment cannot guarantee you a long career in the fitness industry. Register yourself in a national organization that can update you with the latest fitness trends. Whenever possible, enroll in new fitness courses that can keep your skills relevant.

I will eat healthier by avoiding junk foods and fatty foods.

I will eat one to two cups of mixed fruits and veggies for snacks in replacement to chips and sodas.

*Ask yourself first what you’re able to do.
I will gradually cut my junk food intake as I get used to eating healthier foods.

I will gradually cut my junk food intake and slowly adapt to and enjoy healthy eating.

I will gradually cut my junk food intake in a week’s time and eat only healthy foods by the end of the month.

Green Lampshades: How To Find One

Have you heard of green lampshades? They look similar to the regular ones but they are a lot safer to use. They make wonderful additions to a home with green pieces of furniture.

Regular lampshades are mass manufactured. Because of this, they are made of materials that are non-green. The fabric and the frame are put together with the use of styrene and glue. Styrene has petroleum content in it which becomes very toxic when heated. The components of styrene are released into the air every time the lampshade is used.

Many eco-friendly manufacturers today thought of using organic materials for modern lampshade production to eliminate the need for styrene backing. One of these materials is organic cotton. To form a neat lampshade, manufacturers attach organic cotton over the wire frame that has been shaped accordingly. Besides being non-chemical, organic cotton makes a wonderful lampshade material as it is breathable and capable of giving a warm glow to a dark room.

Another non-toxic material is organic felt.  Organic felt has different components from cotton. Nonetheless, it makes a suitable material for green lampshades.  Lampshades made of organic felt are capable of directing the fall of the light from the source. The good thing about this is wider shading coverage is acquired.

To find the perfect green lampshades for your home, you can search online for known manufacturers. Oftentimes, blog reviews make helpful references for purchases. If ever you drop by a lampshade store, ask the sales agents about the materials with which the Iampshades were made. Inquire for models that are made of organic materials as stated above. Expect green lampshades to cost more than the regular ones because most of them are carefully made by hand.

Ways Dishwashing Detergents Can Endager Your Health

Although dishwashing detergents are known to for its positive effects, many studies show that they can also be sources of health problems. The latter happens when dishwashing detergents are ingested in large amount or for a long period of time.

Dishwashing detergents in liquid, paste or powder form can remain on dishes even after several washes. With this, they can transfer on the food cooked in the pots and pans or served on the dishes. When the food served on the dishes containing detergent residue is hot, the transfer of the residues happens quickly. Thus, it is easier for us to ingest these dishwashing detergents.

Poisoning will not occur at an instant. It will happen gradually as we ingest small amounts of dishwashing detergents over time. Chlorine is the number one element in dishwashing detergents that settles in our bodies after ingestion. Chlorine build up in our system causes liver malfunction. Additionally, it causes formation of freckles and weakness of the immune system. When the immune system is weak, our bodies are more prone to absorbing harmful elements like cadmium. Cadmium absorption results to blood poisoning over time.

Our pets are not safe from the negative effects of dishwashing detergents. If their food containers and food pans are washed with dish detergents, they will experience poisoning in a similar manner. However, their liver malfunction can be more serious. This is because their livers are unable to store various chemicals like human livers. Thus, our pets can lose appetite easily and vomit unceasingly when a certain amount of dishwashing detergents is ingested.

Dreams: Revelations Of Your Real Health Condition

Oftentimes, people refer to dreams as a supernatural means to predict their future or make sense out of their lives. While no one can contest the possibility of both, medical experts believe that dreams can reveal a person’s real health condition. Certain studies show how dreams provided early warnings to patients even before definite symptoms of diseases appeared. Let us take a look what nightmares or graphic dreams might tell about your health.

According to sleep expert Professor Jim Horne, nightmares can be caused by beta blockers, heart problems and migraines. Beta blockers are medications effective in widening the blood vessels. But it alters specific brain chemicals that induce nightmares. Heart problems affect a person’s breathing process. Low oxygen problems causes alteration of similar brain chemicals that stimulate bad dreams. Nightmares signal forthcoming migraines or vice versa. Severe headaches happen deep in the night especially when stress or heavy emotional upheavals like are unresolved during the day.

Dreams of being attacked are possible symptoms of Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s diseaseDr. Oscroft explains that these dreams cause the sleepers to thrash in bed. This is brought by the damage in the part of the brain that controls our dreaming 'safety switch' and prevents sleepers from thrashing.  In time, such condition results to memory loss problems.

Being overweight, stressed or depressed trigger dreams that wake you during your first few hours of sleep. Professor Horne explains that fat deposits in the stomach pressures the valve in between the stomach and the gullet. Because of this, stomach acid splashes back up the stomach and causes heartburn. Heartburn can keep you awake and away from the dreaming stage.
