3 Positve Effects Of Kindness On Your Health

Because of the cynical things happening around the globe these days, most people withdraw from showing kindness to others. Little did they know that now is the best time to show it as many stressful things around can easily cause us to be stressed and get sick. Kindness can be likened to a drug with healing side effects. If you are doubtful about this, read the rest of this post.

Kindness makes our hearts healthy. In every act of kindness we do, emotional warmth in our hearts. This emotional warmth allows the production of oxytocin that releases a chemical called nitric oxide. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels; thus high blood pressure is reduced. The same goes with the possibility cardiovascular diseases that spring from high blood pressure.
Kindness makes us feel good. No need for artificial morphine and heroin just for you to feel good. When you are kind to someone, you instantly feel happy. Such feeling of happiness excites the release of dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is an element that provides humans the ‘natural high’.   A person who is happy is capable of having better relationships with the people surrounding him. Harmonious relationships in turn gives anyone protection from emotional and psychological illnesses.

Kindness makes us younger. Due to stress and unhealthy choices, our cardiovascular systems are bombarded with free radicals and toxins that cause the heart to age quicker. The production of oxytocin mentioned above provides the body with another health benefit ~ the reduction of the inflammation of the heart and the other elements in the body that speeds up ageing.
